Pierre D’Aix limestone tiles are quarried from the hills of Provence, France, in large blocks. With an open texture and creamy off-white colouration, this stone is suitable for a wide variety of interior and exterior applications. Its pale warmth gives it a calm, architectural character, making it useful for floors that need light, softness and natural stone presence without feeling stark.
Pierre D’Aix is available in approximate sizes: 40 x 40 x 2 cm, 40 x 60 x 2 cm and 60 x 60 x 2 cm in random sizes.
Slab, custom sizing, cutting and texturing are also available. Pierre D’Aix is also available in a diamond rubbed finish in the size 40 x 40 x 2 cm.
Pierre D’Aix has the easy dignity of a French limestone that belongs naturally in both traditional and contemporary settings. Its creamy tone brings quiet luminosity to kitchens, dining rooms, entrance halls, terraces and covered exterior spaces, while the open texture keeps the surface relaxed rather than overly polished.
Pierre D’Aix is especially suited to interiors where a pale stone floor should feel warm, settled and quietly continental. Its creamy colour, open texture and range of formats make it a refined choice for rooms that need ease, restraint and natural permanence.
As part of our Limestone Floor Tiles & Rare Stone Floors collection, Pierre D’Aix limestone tiles sit within a wider family of stones selected for provenance, durability, patina and long-term architectural value. The stone can be used in regular formats, random layouts or more bespoke cut arrangements, depending on the character of the project.
For pattern-led limestone work, explore Custom Geometric Limestone Floor, where proportion, cabochons and setting out become central to the floor. You can also see the stone in context through the Pierre D Aix Octagonal With Cabs project.
For other kinds of limestones, see Aged Limestone Floors, Antiqued Bushmilled Limestone, Colourwashed Limestone Floors or Antiqued Dished and Distressed Limestone.
