Antique Reclaimed Blonde Barr
Quarried between 1820 and 1900 in the Languedoc region of France, these stones were always intended to be used as flooring in grand country homes of this area.

These flagstones are all hand sawn and shaped, Antique Barr is commonly installed in coursed lengths. The quarries situated in the Languedoc area were quickly exhausted and have since been built over.

Antique Blonde Barr is approximately 2.5 to 3 cm (1” to 1¼”) in thickness. The colouration varies between golden beige and a light grey. The texture was originally open grain and soft when first installed in the 1900’s. With the passage of time and use the stone surface became harder and worn to a slightly undulating finish. More consistent in rectangular size, the variation in colour lends itself to any period property.
