Antique Grey Barr being installed
Quarried between 1820 and 1900 in the
Languedoc region of France, these stones were always intended to be used as flooring in grand country homes of this area. These flagstones are all hand sawn and shaped, Antique Barr is commonly installed in coursed lengths. The quarries situated in the Languedoc area were quickly exhausted and now have been built over.
Antique Grey Barr flagstones are approximately 1” to 1-1/4” in thickness .The coloration is grey with some lighter and darker highlights and flecks. This is a grand stone floor suitable for areas where impact is extremely important. These are large and more consistently sized rectangular flagstones, lending them to a traditional or modern interior.
